The arcade classic Air Combat 22, for which Okabe Keiichi contributed music during his time at Namco, is being re-released as part of the Arcade Archives series.
Two versions will be available starting Thursday, July 3, 2025:
- Arcade Archives: Air Combat 22 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4
- Arcade Archives 2: Air Combat 22 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S
To commemorate the release, Okabe Keiichi will appear on the special broadcast “Arcade Archiver #544: Air Combat 22 Special!”, streaming on YouTube from 7:00 PM (JST) on the same day.
The program will reunite original development staff in what promises to be a nostalgic “class reunion” of sorts—featuring behind-the-scenes stories from the game’s creation, including insights into the music production.
